The Employment Standards Code represents the minimum standards of employment in the Province of Alberta. Your collective agreement has enhanced benefits and rights that are over and above the standards set out in the code. In the Province of Saskatchewan the Labour Standards Act applies. Federal Workers All federal workers fall under the Canada Labour Code. Health and SafetyOccupational Health & Safety is the agency responsible for enforcement of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations in the province of Alberta. If you wish to file a complaint or report unsafe working conditions, report an immediately dangerous situation or have questions about health and safety in the workplace, contact the Occupational Health & Safety Contact Centre toll-free at 1-866-415-8690.
